The third prep challenge in December is to buy liquid dish soap and hand soap for your home storage. We saw liquid hand soap disappear during the pandemic because people were washing their hands more. Perhaps buy a year’s supply of these items to be prepared in case that happens again. Or if your storage space is limited, buy large refills. And hand soap with a Christmas label will go on clearance the day after Christmas! You can always transfer that liquid into your own bottles.

First, check your inventory of these supplies and decide how many bottles you need. It’s amazing how far a large bottle of liquid dish soap goes. If the power goes out and you can’t use your dishwasher, at least you can wash dishes by hand.
