Our fourth November prep challenge is to buy laundry supplies for emergencies or normal use. After an extended power outage, you may need to wash clothes by hand and hang them to dry. There could be a laundry detergent shortage, so have extra laundry supplies on hand. Look over the supply list below to see if there is something you need.

Buy Emergency Laundry Supplies
During a power outage, you can wash clothes in a sink and drain in a bathtub. Or wash in a plastic tub or bucket if your tub drain isn’t working.
Do you have enough water stored to wash clothes if your pipes become clogged?
- wash tub or bucket
- washboard
- rubber gloves (to protect hands)
- laundry detergent
- stain remover
- fabric softener
- vinegar
- clothesline & clothespins
This is our favorite everyday clothes drying rack!
